BABY HOPE CLUB - helps babies born to young women living in International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) maternity homes. We believe every baby deserves the hope of tomorrow. God’s Word confirms this: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future," Jeremiah 29:11, NIV. Since Baby Hope Club is sponsored by General Girls’ Ministries, we encourage Missionettes and their coordinator and sponsors to "join the club." Others–women, men and boys–are welcome to join Baby Hope Club as well.
HOW DOES BABY HOPE CLUB WORK? When one joins Baby Hope Club, he or she receives a "Baby Shoe" bank - pink, of course! The slot on top is for money to be dropped in. The bank should be placed where it can be seen often–in the bedroom, kitchen, or office. Cheerfully drop the money (coins/bills) into the bank when possible. Money can be turned in to the Missionettes sponsor when the bank is filled. Remember, the bank can be filled over and over again!
HOW CAN I GET MY OWN BANK? First check with your conference Missionettes
coordinator to see whether or not she has a supply of the banks on hand. If so, the banks sell for $1.55 each (includes shipping and handling). However, we have depleted our supply of banks in the Girls' Ministries office and the supplier has gone out of business. We are implementing an alternative idea which allows you to purchase baby bottles from your local retailer. See the picture at the right to see how the bottle can look after adding the new label we have created for you. Clicking on the picture will take you to a page explaining the changes and will have links to download a master page (and instructions) for printing labels that you can paste onto the bottles. This can be printed onto a page of 2" x 4" mailing labels (10 per page). Or, purchase permanent markers and allow the girls to decorate their own baby bottles.
CAN I STILL USE THE OLD BANK? If you already have some of the shoe banks, just keep right on using them and then add baby bottles as you get new girls in the clubs. This ministry is still worthy of our support, so please don't skip a beat.
