Missionettes Leadership Training

The Missionettes Leader Training Guide (MLTG) gives an overview of the purpose and organization of Missionettes ministry. It is the official text book for the conference-sponsored Missionettes Leadership Training Course (MLTC). This study guide contains an open-book Scan-Tron test and 10 chapters covering topics such as the purpose of Missionettes, how to get started, elements of a good sponsor, developmental characteristics of children, how to plan a club meeting, and the purpose of awards.

Both the MLTC and MLTG are required for all leaders. The MLTG should be studied individually before attending a conference-sponsored Missionettes Leadership Training Course (MLTC). The open-book test should be completed and mailed for grading before attending the conference MLTC. Follow the mailing instructions printed on the test and be sure to include the $5.00 processing fee with the check made out to General Girls' Ministries. Once both of these steps (MLTC & open-book test) are completed, you have met the requirements for becoming a certified Missionettes sponsor or coordinator.

Contact your Conference Girls' Ministries (GM) Coordinator to determine the date of the next training in your area. If your conference does not have an MLTC scheduled for a while, you may go ahead and complete the MLTG and open-book test requirement and then attend the next available training in your conference. You will indicate the status of these two requirements for each sponsor and the local coordinator on the annual charter application. It is the responsibility of the local coordinator to monitor the status of these two requirements for each sponsor.

The MLTG is available in English and Spanish, both of which have been customized for the IPHC. The English IPHC-customized MLTG is in its second printing, so please make sure that you are using the most up-to-date version of this guide. Turn to page 2 and look just to the right of the Missionettes logo. If it does not say IPHC Customized 2nd Printing 2003, then you are using an outdated version of the leadership guide and should order a new one.
