GM Week Bonus Ideas

This one-page document (a pdf file) was created to help the local coordinator and sponsors plan and prepare for Girls’ Ministries Week. It directs you to helpful ideas for winning girls to Christ that can be found in the Missionettes curriculum and in the denominational Reach3 and Disciple3 materials. It also suggests units for each club level that can be used to enhance the discipleship emphasis of Missionettes. Any of the suggested units could be used to lead up to GM Week in September or even later as a follow-up to the 2008 theme of "Hidden Treasures in Jars of Clay."

LifeSprings Resources (LSR) is always a great place to purchase Mpact items for giveaways. There are also many other sites that offer some great items as well. This one-page document (a pdf file) was created to help the local coordinator and sponsors plan and prepare for Girls’ Ministries Week and the entire year of Missionettes. It directs you to helpful web sites where I have found items that can be ordered to enhance the theme or to be used as giveaways. These could be used in September or even later as a follow-up to the theme, "Saturated." Remember that the theme continues throughout the 2006-2007 school year.

This timed Power Point show is now under development (which means the links below WILL NOT work yet). You just need to have a narrator read the script that goes with it. There are three different files you can download and use on GM Day. First, you'll want to choose between the Power Point Show (.pps) and the Power Point Presentation (.ppt). The show file does not allow you to edit any of the slides. You just click on it and it begins running with the pre-programmed timing of slides and the information on each slide. If you want to have editing capabilities, then you'll want to download the ".ppt" file which is the presentation file. It will allow you to delete slides, change the timing, etc. However, be careful before you make changes. I would recommend that if you need to delete a slide to make it shorter, do it from a copy of the file. Then, you'll want to download the "Power Point Slides Notes" which will give you a picture of each slide and what should be read with that slide. (You'll want to use this instead of the script that was presented in the GM Week packet since the information is in bullet format on the slide.) Have fun and enjoy.

These could be used during Girls' Ministries or at any time throughout the year. These are great sites to bookmark for any time of the year.

Red & Yellow's Bright Ideas This is a fun website for Mars candy. The site is filled with fun creative things to do with their various candies. There are links to party themes, holiday ideas, and a host of activities such as Bookmark Bonanza where you can make booksmarks and an invitation maker. You can also subscribe to receive their free newsletter.

A Kids Heart This website is filled with games, activities, clipart, and much more designed with a family friendly focus. It has 1,600 free printable items for your girls.

Oriental Trading Company, Inc. This is a great site for all kinds of activities, crafts, and ideas. Check out the rocks which have religious symbols, etc., many of which we have referred to in the GM Week packet.
