South Carolina Conference. In a world where television shows like Gossip Girl, Jersey Shore, and Keeping Up With the Kardashians paint a garish picture of teen and young adult girls gone dangerously wild, it is encouraging to hear about what is happening in South Carolina Girls’ Ministries (GM). For over 35 years, the conference has been preparing future and present leaders. Instead of being preoccupied with what they can acquire and how they look, these determined young women focus on who they can become.
North Carolina Conference. Most women still love to dress up for a special occasion, but little girls do especially love an opportunity to see themselves as little ladies for the first time. A tea party is a wonderful occasion for such fanfare, and at Culbreth Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, in Falcon, North Carolina, the opportunity is given to them.Decorations and light finger foods are provided by the prayer ministry. The girls are encouraged to dress up in their fancy dresses, hats, and other accessories (some of which are also provided). |
